Angel Lucinda Afrikaner
Born on 8 February 2024, Angel was a very tiny baby when we first met her. Understandably, her mother faced this journey with uncertainty and many questions. Just after her first birthday, on 19 February 2025, Angel successfully underwent her surgical procedure. Her story is one of courage, trust, and hope, and we are grateful to walk this journey alongside her and her family.

Innocent Kativa
Innocent, from Omuthiya, is the most quiet and calm baby. He even starred in one of our sponsor videos about the Foundation, mostly while sleeping! When he was awake, his gentle and serene nature made him barely noticeable, yet everyone couldn’t help but smile at his calm presence.

Lucia Denely Swartz
Lucia, born in March 2025 and from Windhoek, underwent her cleft lip surgery at just a few months old. Such a sweet and adorable baby, she already brings joy to everyone around her. She will return for her palate repair as she continues to grow.

Ebenezer Denis Abner
Ebenezer was a baby boy who was very malnourished when we f irst met him. He steadily gained the strength needed for surgery. On 17 September 2025, after being medically cleared, Ebenezer successfully underwent his procedure and is doing well. He will return for his palate repair when he is a little older.

Marizaan Hilma Nangula Fillemon
Marizaan was very malnourished when we first met her and not yet ready for surgery. With extra care and nutrition, she gained the strength needed for her procedure. She is now happy and healthy, and we look forward to seeing her again when she returns for her palate repair in 2026.

Emilia Mutengo Muvumbura
Emilia captured our hearts from the moment we met her, with the biggest, cutest smile and a very loving nature. Originally from Swakopmund, she underwent her cleft lip surgery in early 2025 and is recovering beautifully. Emilia will return for her palate repair in 2026, and we feel privileged to continue walking this journey with her and her family as she grows.

Harmony Mashonde
We met Harmony on her 3rd day of life. Having to comfort he mum in reassuring her that all will be well, the rest is history. Harmony is a very cheerful baby girl, with the friendliest looking eyes and an instant contagious smile. Our journey with her, like many of our other babies, will continue until the age of 18.

Victoria Leonard
Victoria is one of our youngest operated patients that underwent her first procedure at the age of 4 months. Very talkative at such a young age – she is very inquisitive and likes to observe everything and everyone around her. Born with only a cleft lip – her operations and procedures are done. We will monitor her and ensure that her teeth and speech will be fine in future.

Blessing Kalenga
Born in September 2023, we had the privilege of performing Blessing’s cleft lip repair before her first birthday. A few minutes before her procedure – she was the star of our advertorial video. She performed like the star that she is and did not cry once during the filming of the video and made our life very easy.

Ndilipomwene Nkuluwa
Having had a few setbacks with his health during his early months – we managed to eventually operate Ndili just before his 1st birthday. Being a very serious baby – did not smile at anyone easily until a few minutes before his first surgical procedure, as if to say, “this is the last time that you see me like this”. One cannot look past his big eyes that have now become friendly.

Koah Brave Ortman
Looking at this face, who would not instantly love this boy. His mum mentioned that they had followed our pages from the time that Koah was registered with us – a week after his birth and had complete faith in us – in taking care of their baby boy and ensuring that he was confident in life.

Tuapewa Kennedy Namwandi
In trying to stay true to our aim of performing the initial cleft lip surgeries on all our babies before they turn 1year – Tuapewa was registered early enough and we eventually traced her in Uuhama – in the Oshikoto Region within 7 months. They were discharged 2 days after surgery and her mother was excited to take her back to the village – with her new smile.

Tyra Adira Lil-Phia Mhuruyengwe
From the moment we first met Tyra, her vibrant personality and friendly demeanour immediately stole our hearts. She is a spitting image of her mother. Her young parents, although initially nervous, entrusted her with our care. After witnessing the transformative impact of the first procedure, they are now considerably more comfortable about the future steps.

Albert participated in our photo shoot with remarkable calmness, even though it was just a day prior to his first procedure. His mother appeared more at ease after interacting with the parents of our other patients, whom we had journeyed with to create those priceless smiles.

We encountered Antheny right at his birth, where we provided guidance and reassurance to his mother that her son would be well taken care of. We emphasized our commitment to be present throughout all his procedures and affirmed our deep concern for his welfare. His lip was successfully repaired when he was 11 months old, followed by his palate nearly a year later.

Genesis Classen
Genesis underwent her first procedure on the 10th of August 2022 and unfortunately fell a weeklater and which caused her stitches to come loose. We were able to reoperate on her lip a month later on the 7th of September 2022. She recovered very well.

Genesis Taraji Mouton
Genesis participated in our photoshoot after her successful recovery from the procedure performed on September 7th, 2022. By that time, she was already showcasing her vibrant personality while crawling around energetically. As with all our patients, she is so easy to love.

Avelinu Chisango
Navigating the language barrier with Avelinu's Portuguese-speaking parents presented a challenge for us. However, we successfully facilitated both of his procedures within a year, thanks to the assistance of numerous translators from Rundu to Windhoek. His lip was repaired in June 2022, followed by a successful closure of his palate in March 2023.

Blessing Namila
Blessing was born with a bilateral cleft lip but an intact palate which is very rare. Later, when she is about 10 years old, she will undergo a procedure to tighten her pe-maxilla, a procedure to be carried out by our Maxillofacial surgeon.

Denuschka Garoes
Denuschka, a timid and small-sized girl for her age, had both her medical procedures within a span of two years, with the first one conducted when she was just 8 months old. She's flourishing and developing appropriately, and we'll keep in contact with her until it's time for her next procedure.

As with most of our procedures in recent years, Future was operated on when he was 7 months old. Growing up, looking like a normal baby boy his confidence is growing every day in the seaside town of Walvis Bay. His palate was closed before he was 2 years old.

Mesaka Shikongo
Mesaka, our amiable young friend from Oshakati, was born with a cleft lip. His condition was surgically corrected on the 17th of March 2021, shortly after his first birthday. We recently connected with him and discovered that he is now enjoying soccer without any discrimination from his peers.

Magdalena Namwoonde
Magdalena, our winter baby, from Windhoek, underwent both her procedures to close her cleft lip and palate within a year of each other, enabling her to grow up as a confident young girl. We will be in touch with her soon, to monitor if she might be needing speech therapy or any other Procedures.

Priscilla Nelson
Priscilla is among our privileged patients who have undergone both initial procedures within a two-year period. She will mature without any visible evidence of her previous physical condition. She hails from one of our coastal towns, an area from which we receive very few referrals for this condition.

Anna Tangi Angula
Anna was registered with us very early and as such underwent her first procedure at 6 months of age. Less than a year later her palate was closed. She is now attending preschool and mingling well with her peers.

Elias Moses
Elias was extremely friendly when he was younger but became quite checky with age. In June 2019 he underwent the closure of his unilateral cleft palate. February 2020 was the closure of his palate. We will be touching base with Elias’ family to check in on him.

Ngambuii McGenerous Tjomuho
Almost a Christmas baby, Ngambuii was born with just a unilateral cleft lip. In our effort to operate on these children within the first couple of months of their lives, his lips were closed at the age of 7 months. He is still very bubbly and friendly.

It was imperative for us to arrange her appointment promptly. At ten years old, she already possessed a strong sense of self-awareness and was concerned about her appearance. We were privileged to provide her with a transformative procedure that allowed her to gain confidence just a few months later and her palate was successfully closed in 2020.

Kischa underwent a transformation at merely three months old before she could even recognize her own reflection. Originating from the small town of Rehoboth, she is now on the verge of starting school as a regular little kid, thanks to the closure of her cleft palate in 2020. This crucial intervention facilitated her ability to articulate speech clearly.

Continuing our efforts to assist children with cleft lips and palates as early as possible, Jeffrenhino received his life-changing surgery in December 2020. He was born with only a cleft lip, his palate is intact.
